About Us

The Probus Club of Newbury is a non-political, non profit making club drawing members from the Newbury area. The club provides regular meetings for the retired or semi-retired businessmen and a wide range of professionals.

Our lunches, walks and trips provide opportunities to make new friends, listen to talks that cover a wide range of local and general topics.

The club hosts many events in which members wives and partners can participate including a comprehensive walks program, organised visits and theatre trips. In addition  summer and winter celebration evenings are held at a local venue.

The club meets at the Chequers Hotel Newbury, at midday for a 12.30 lunch, on the second Tuesday of the month. Our meetings include a 2 course meal followed by a guest speaker.
