Chairman's Message

Welcome to the Probus Club of Newbury. The club is open to professional and business people who have fully or partially retired. We offer the chance to meet up regularly with new friends and generally make the most of your leisure.

We come together for lunch at the Chequers Hotel on the second Tuesday of each month and have an after lunch guest speaker. We have a monthly walk based  on the countryside around Newbury at which wives and partners are welcome to join us. The walks always end at a pub for lunch. You don't have to do the walk but can meet up at the pub for lunch. Twice a year again with wives and partners, we have a formal dinner celebrating Christmas and Midsummer. We also have groups of members interested in golf and bowls.
